As a plastics technologist with Federal VET Diploma, you know how plastics are structured, how they are processed and where they are used. You will prepare the production process, carry out samples and monitor production. To do this, you will program and operate the injection molding machines, robots and other peripheral devices.

Main tasks

Defining process parameters such that the products produced meet customer specifications from a qualitative and economic point of view; setting up and programming injection molding machines, robots and peripheral equipment; monitoring production process and product quality; optimizing processes; optimizing products; analyzing and solving processing-related process problems

Requirements

Completion of compulsory schooling with good grades in mathematics, nature and technology (physics); interest in chemical and physical processes; spatial imagination (reading technical drawings); quick thinking; skilled craftsmanship; enjoyment of operating state-of-the-art equipment; interest in a technical profession; precise work
